Two days ago, while on the way to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), I saw an accident involving a car and pedestrian. Referring to the following picture, the impact of the accident was severe and I am certain that the victim could not survive such an impact.
As can be seen in the following pictures, the scene of the accidents was crowded with people eager enough to know what was happening. Due to the curiosity, both sides of the highway were congested.
I think that the victim was at fault because he was hit by the vehilce while crossing the busy six lanes highway. Unless that he crossed the highway at the designated pedestrian crossing (if there is any), the chances of being hit by vehicles is very high.

Dr Wan,
i working in toll division industry,
I am seeing accident almost everyday,
my highway also get a letter from MHA due to our high number of accident..
*sigh*..how to reduce traffic accident in Malaysia ...
May I know which toll highway that you are working with? How to reduce number of accidents is a million dollar question to answer because it involve not only highway facility but too much human behavior.
it is LEKAS,(kajang seremban hihgway). the traffic is quite low.
i read in foursquare they suggest to so called "speed test" at our highway.
during rainy days everybody (traffic department) will worried. all VMS display warning.
Patut lah, namanya dah pun Lekas. He he. I think you can determine black spots along the highway if there are any. From there some remedial action can be carried out if necessary. However, if it due to speeding, only respective authority knows how to deal with them.
thank Dr, we already take some preventive action (signboard/ VMS) but i think it is not very effective.
